Delete Your Habit Aura Account

We’re sorry to see you go. This page explains how to permanently delete your Habit Aura account and personal data.
Delete your account in the app (recommended)
- Open the Habit Aura app.
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- Read the prompts and tap Confirm.
What happens: Your account, habits, progress, reminders, and profile data are scheduled for permanent deletion. This cannot be undone.

If you no longer have the app or can’t sign in, you can request deletion via our support form or email:

Include the email address associated with your Habit Aura account and (optional) your user ID so we can verify ownership.
Identity verification
To protect your data, we may ask you to confirm your email address or provide a one-time verification code. We will not process deletion requests we cannot verify.
Deletion timeline
- Immediate effects: Account access is revoked and content is queued for deletion.
- Within 30 days: We permanently delete personal data from active systems.
- Backups: Encrypted backups are overwritten on their normal rotation cycle (up to 90 days).
What will be deleted
- Profile info (name, email), habits, streaks, check-ins, notes, reminders, and app settings.
- Device tokens, analytics identifiers tied to your account.
What we may retain (minimal & required)
- Legal, security, and billing records we’re required to keep (e.g., tax invoices, fraud-prevention logs). These are stored separately and not used to profile you.
Subscriptions & refunds
Deleting your account does not automatically refund prior charges.
- Apple App Store: Manage/cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Google Play: Manage/cancel in Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Your subscription stops renewing after cancellation. If you need help, contact support@habitaura.com.
Get a copy of your data (optional)
You can request an export of your data before deletion. Email support@habitaura.com with subject “Data Export.”
Privacy & compliance
We honor applicable data protection laws (e.g., GDPR/CCPA). After deletion, remaining records (if any) are minimized and retained only for legal obligations. For details, see our Privacy Policy.
FAQ
Can I restore my account after deletion?
No. Deletion is permanent once processed. If you’re unsure, consider disabling notifications or logging out instead.
How long does it take?
Most accounts are deleted from active systems within 30 days; backups purge on their normal cycle (up to 90 days).
Will this cancel my subscription?
No. Please cancel via Apple or Google (see above). Account deletion only removes your data from Habit Aura.
